https://myscouting.scouting.org is a new service provided by the National Council in which they have Integrated Online Trainings, Online Advancements, Online Rechartering, and Online Tour Permits.  All these services can now be accessed from one site with a single account.

 

Instructions for Online Tour Permits:

If you do not have a MyScouting account, please visit https://myscouting.scouting.org and follow the steps to create your account. Only registered leaders are permitted to work with Internet Tour Permits. You will need to input your BSA member ID number when creating your account. This is found on your member card or you may contact the Scout Office at 801-479-5460 to obtain your number.

1.    Before starting Internet Tour Permits we recommend gathering all the driver information, training information.  Auto liability totals must be in dollar amounts.  Training Dates must be month/day/year

2.    To access Internet Tour Permits or https://myscouting.scouting.org

3.    Log into your MyScouting account.

4.    Click on Tour Permits, located in the list on the left of the page.

Follow prompts to complete your tour permit.

What Happens If…

1.    I do not see the Tour Permit Option listed on the left of the page.

Your Profile will need to be updated. Follow this procedure.

a. Click on My Profile.

b. Choose Modify Profile.

c. Check mark the Tour Permit box.

d. Click on the Submit button at the bottom of the page.

2.    I tried to modify my profile, but MyScouting won’t let me choose Tour Permits.

Only registered leaders can utilize Internet Tour Permits. Please contact the Scout Office at 801-479-5460 to check your registration.

3.    The troop that I want to file a tour permit for does not show up in my profile.

You can file a tour permit only for the unit in which you are registered.
